How to Apply to the BBN

Criteria:

1. Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent residents of the U.S.

2. Applicants must be registered in the Undergraduate Nursing Program at UMass Boston taking a 1/2 time course load or more.

3. Applicants must fit into at least one of the following categories:

• Low income or disadvantaged by education
• Non-native speaker of English
• American Indian/Alaskan Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, Black or Hispanic.

Process:

1. Applicants must fill out an application form. Download the Application Form (19 kb PDF)

2. Return the application form to the Reception Desk at the Department of Nursing (S/2/ 013) or at the Bring the Best to Nursing Office (S/2/105).

Deadline for applications for the first group: Tuesday October 21, 2003, 5:00 p.m.

Members of the first group will be notified by Friday November 14, 2003.

In December, the second group will be selected to begin Winter Term.
